Ford arrived at the DOT-Airports in 2011. At that time, I was just over two years into my new consulting company, Oke`e Aviation Services, LLC. Since I began Oke`e, my relationship with the DOT-A changed somewhat. I no longer had property, equipment, or employees. It was just me, representing my clients. I made an appointment to meet Ford after he was on the job for about a month. The three previous directors did not impress but I was hopeful. Ford stated from the beginning that he did not have aviation experience but his business knowledge and willingness to assist all airports users was encouraging. 

From that initial meeting, my relationship was directed more towards airport and property managers while helping my clients.
